My name is Michele and I have been a Sound Practitioner since 2022 following a long career in education as a teacher and then a Family and Adolescent mental health coordinator. My formal Sound practitioner qualifications include a Diploma in 1-2-1 from the Sound Healing academy plus an integrated Sound healing qualification and additional Diploma qualifications in Sound therapy and Forest Bathing. I have recently signed up to start Reiki training as this is very complimentary to the 1-2-1 energy assessments that I do with clients.

I play a variety of instruments and use particular rhythms and notes which help to trigger the brainwaves connected with relaxation and meditative states, alpha and theta. One Sound session is said to be equivalent to a very good night's sleep, something which I have definitely experienced myself. (see Testimonials)

Prior to discovering Sound Energy Practice I was fortunate to have had a long and varied career in teaching and education working closely with families, children and adults as well as raising our four children plus setting up a small glass making business.

In 2022 I fell and broke my foot. It shook me up both physically and emotionally, far out of proportion of the actual injury.

During my recovery I had time to reflect and I made the decision to finish working in education and take some much needed time out for myself.

During this period I walked along coastal paths, began sea swimming and joined a small choir. It was a deeply nourishing time. I stopped watching the clock, banned my list writing and opened myself up to going with the present flow and following unexpected opportunities that came my way.

Not surprisingly, I met some amazing people, made several new friends, connected with friends and family for quality time, became energised, had some incredible experiences and personal achievements and most importantly felt more comfortable with myself.

Completely by chance, I came upon a man playing what I later learnt were crystal singing bowls outdoors in a stunning natural setting. I stood mesmerised by the beautiful sounds he was creating, fascinated too by the deep meditative state of the lady he was playing to.

Pathways kept crossing over and I eventually found myself completing a self-study Sound Therapy course. I was completely hooked! On completion I immediately enrolled on an Integrated Sound Healing course with practical and in-depth further learning included.

Initially my immediate aim on completing these courses was to help people to relax and to provide an opportunity to escape busy lives for a while and these continue to be my aims.  However, straightaway the benefits and results I experienced first hand, and also from clients’ feedback, has far exceeded this.
